Dear students,

It is my pleasure to wish you and your loved ones a Happy Eid! I hope you take the opportunity to spend some quality time with your family and friends, and get to enjoy the change in the weather in the UAE. Brrrr!

In addition, I would like to bid you all the best of luck for the new cycle ahead. I believe, we have achieved a sinigificant amount of goals this Cycle 1. Don't you think so? And so the end is near..... G11 English is on Thursday November 4th at 13.30

To all of you,
Listen to the instructions and focus on the introduction sentence which will give you the gist. Visualize the conversation, the people and the setting. Write your answer as soon as you hear it and transfer them later.
In the reading section, make sure to read the questions carefully. The answer is always in the question, so please read each question by underlining the keywords. This will help you find the answer.
As for writing, read the topic and underline the keywords that you must mention in your piece of writing. Use paragraphs such as an introduction which should include a mention of the topic and an overal idea, a body which should have supporting details, examples or personal experience, use of connectors and conjunctions, and finally, the conclusion where you re-state the topic, an opinion and closing statement.
You only have 60 minutes to complete the exam. Manage your time accordingly.
10 minutes for Listening
30 minutes for Reading
20 minutes for Writing
Check all spelling, it is not worth losing marks for a correct answer with the wrong spelling. Write clearly in the correct answer slot.
Wishing you all the best in your Grade 11 English Exam and all other subjects.
Best regards,
Ms. Sonja
